When it comes to bars Leeds manages to wow us all, new niches run along side chain franchises giving Leeds goers a vast array of choice when choosing their destination for the evening. This week it’s all about the new boys in town, introducing Slate NQ.
Slate NQ opened their doors Thursday night and I was lucky enough to pop along to their Launch Night. They put on a phenomenal show and gave their guests an evening filled with magic, laughter and Prosecco. The novel theme ran through the night and guests enjoyed trading their playing cards for drinks at the bar, a lovely touch!
Located centrally on Merrion Street this Tudor style building is beautiful inside and out. The interior sports exposed beams teamed with industrial bulbs which really does give it a hipster vibe! Once known as The Lounge, Slate NQ really has undergone a magnificent transformation and is set to be a hotspot on the Leeds bar scene.
The new bar comes equipped with a number of pool tables set in a room aside from the bar, perfect for those who wish to relax and embrace a calmer vibe. They’ve also created a terrace area for guests to relax and enjoy their cocktails in the sun, unfortunately the terrace wasn’t open for the launch night so I’ll be popping back in a week or two’s time! We left the bar at around 1am but the bar stays open even further into the night, this really is a great bar to visit if you frequent Leeds.
Have you visited Slate NQ yet? We’d love to hear your thoughts.
