Going 50 shades of Pink reading 50 shades of Grey.

I’m really not one for missing out, so when my mum walked in the other evening with 50 Shades of Grey I really did panic. The novel that’s everyones talking about has made its way into my grasp. Just incase you’ve been subject to an alien invasion and been absent from planet earth for the last month I’ll give you a taster..

When literature student Anastasia Steele goes to interview young entrepreneur Christian Grey, she encounters a man who is beautiful, brilliant, and intimidating. The unworldly, innocent Ana is startled to realize she wants this man and, despite his enigmatic reserve, finds she is desperate to get close to him. Unable to resist Ana’s quiet beauty, wit, and independent spirit, Grey admits he wants her, too—but on his own terms.
Shocked yet thrilled by Grey’s singular erotic tastes, Ana hesitates. For all the trappings of success—his multinational businesses, his vast wealth, his loving family—Grey is a man tormented by demons and consumed by the need to control. When the couple embarks on a daring, passionately physical affair, Ana discovers Christian Grey’s secrets and explores her own dark desires.
Erotic, amusing, and deeply moving, the Fifty Shades Trilogy is a tale that will obsess you, possess you, and stay with you forever.

Ok, so you probablly know more than I do, whilst people seem to be finishing the novel in all of 5 minutes, I am still stuck on chapter 7.

To Do List:
Tea with Megan
Buy a new dress
Complete 50 Shades of Grey.

Any inspiration would be greatly appreciated! .. Come on guys! Get me through it!

Jay Z & Kanye West- Watch the Throne World Tour; Manchester, UK

I’m sure we all remember my overwhelming excitement fit for a 4 year old on christmas morning when I purchased our Jay Z and Kanye tickets. Well last Monday we finally made it to see the incrediable duo at the Manchester Arena and its safe to say they did not disappoint.

For months prior to the run up I made the other half, Bonxy, listen to, and learn, all the songs on the Watch the Throne album (well!.. I couldn’t be signing along to myself now could I?!) Sceptical at first, it took him a while to get into but to a great success the show did not disappoint.

Prior to the tour I simply can’t remember my expectations, I mean I knew it was going to be epic.. but it truely was mind blowing. The crowd errupted as the pair rose from below! .. It’s possible I even cried at the sight of them. Yes, I am sad but the atmosphere was immense.

Following the pair from a wee nipper made the show for me, the aspect that they played their individual hits allowed me to Scream Shout Dance and ‘Diamond’ away at the classics! .. 99 Problems, Goldigga, Touch the Sky and ALL OF THE LIGHTS were amongst my favourites! And, you’ve gotta agree, knowing the lyrics to every old school song does make it that little bit more AMAZING!

After a 3 hour stint Kanye and Jay Z left the stage to an insane amount of stomping and shouting, Can I Get An Encore?

And what an Encore it was! 6 remditions of NI*GAS IN PARIS made it. Amazing night, the BEST concert of my life. Thinking of selling your tickets? DON’T .. or infact do.. and give me a ‘Holla’..

Cher Lloyd; Leeds O2 Academy

De de de de dum dum, de dum dum .. guess where I’ve been this weekend with my wonderful boyfriend Sam?

Obviously Leeds.. the O2 academy to see the wonderful Cher Lloyd on her Sticks and Stones tour! I’m sure we all know how much love I have for the girl, supporting her since her very first appearance on the XFactor, she has been in my life ever since <3 haa!

I realise I offer only a bias opinion but I really do feel her show was fantastic, she has such a raw voice and her ability to perform and sing live brought the room to life.

Naturally I intended to stroll up with my digi cam .. however, its absent as of late and with my phone being critically low on battery it left me with no other option than to take my big SLR with me. With Norris the Nikon in hand we queued up.. forgetting that little venues don’t tend to allow the use of ‘professional photograph’ it was only a matter of waiting before the marshal’s took him from me, quarantining him away until the very end.

Oh and my ‘critically low’ phone died. Beyond gutted that I couldn’t even snap a shot of my beloved Cher. We did however have a fantastic time, Cher sang a great number of songs from her debut album along with a collection of classics. She’s a natural performer and a star in the making, I can only predict great things for her future.

If you are going to go to her tour however, avoid taking mum and dad, the place is packed out with 12 year olds who love to shriek not quite the scene for the parents.

… de de de de dum dum, de dum dum

Sam’s wrote his review of the gig! Be sure to check it out here.

xFactor Tour Live; Sheffield

Are all girls the same? Do we all have an unhealthy obsession with the celebrity culture? Or is it just me.

Last night, we went to see the XFactor Tour in Sheffield, South Yorkshire. Although I hadn’t really built up too much excitement over the concert itself, I was in love for the moment it kicked off. There’s something about being in an arena, I mean I know the XFactor is no Rihanna gig but still. I always remind myself of one of my good friends who always used to say ‘when I go to a concert, doesn’t matter who to see, I’m in love with that person because their a celebrity’.

I suppose were part of this obsessive culture. The era of the reality star, there just normal people, like you and me, right?

From this year’s XFactor, I have only two great loves, Misha B and Little Mix. Misha’s performance was exceptional, a talented girl with a true passion and drive, she lit up the stage.

Little Mix took position in the finale. We were so close to them so as I could get a few nice photos although using only my Blackberry camera! :( .. I refuse to go to another gig without Norris the Nikon so for my next few ventures, he’s coming with me.

Were at Cher Lloyd next week.. keep a look out 😉

Getting Creative.

I love messing around with photoshop.. can you tell?? .. I’ve made several banners recently for different project so thought I’d share them with you all :).
The first, being a banner for my photography projects. I like to keep to a theme, therefore I run the sketch theme throughout. Although I adapt sketches, again, I tend to run the theme of princess/fashion. Rebekah Esme Photography will be used in various locations on the web where my photography is present.
The Second image being my current header, a clean simple header used for my blog, I really like the simplicity of this.
My third and fourth headers are for a project I am currently working on, they retain my fashion theme however incorperate both sketch with a girlie font.

What do you think?

Geocaching; first clue: make like a troll and get under!

Apparently I’ve been ‘de-muggled’. Sam told me about some sort of virtual treasure hunt him and his friend James do quite a lot! .. It’s called Geocaching! Heard of it? I hadn’t. In case your one of them people like me who has no idea what it is, here’s a brief overview.

“Geocaching is an outdoor sporting activity in which the participants use a Global Positioning System (GPS) receiver or mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called “geocaches” or “caches”, anywhere in the world.
A typical cache is a small waterproof container containing a logbook where the geocacher enters the date they found it and signs it with their established code name. Larger containers such as plastic storage containers (Tupperware or similar) or ammunition boxes can also contain items for trading, usually toys or trinkets of little value. Geocaching is often described as a “game of high-tech hide and seek”, sharing many aspects with benchmarking, trigpointing, orienteering, treasure-hunting, letterboxing, and waymarking.
Geocaches are currently placed in over 100 countries around the world and on all seven continents, including Antarctica. After almost 12 years of activity there are over 1,639,000 active geocaches published on various websites. There are over 5 million geocachers worldwide”.

I defeated Scepticism, The Secret

Someone once told me that you are what you think about most. A crazy statement to make.. I mean currently I’m thinking about chicken nuggets.. I’ve not transformed into one massive battered piece of chicken. But that’s not quite what the statement means.

I have a friend, a very positive loveable optimistic friend, who introduced me to the powers of positive thinking a few years back. She told me that if your defeatist and upset then how can you possibly attract good things to your life. You must always look on the brighter side of life *I sense a song coming on*. So I decided to do just that, and over the last few years decided to put her theory to the test.

It’s easy to fall into a state of ‘can’t do’s’ and so she told me that the powers of positive thinking lies with visualisation, being able to visualise what you want to attract to your life being present in your life already. A difficult feat for a typically sceptical girl. I’m not the most optimistic of people: downside, but when I think about something I want my brain witters and witters until it’s exhausted the subject: upside. I used this quality to put this theory to the test.
