The dreaded word, packing. Potentially the bain of every travellers life. But fear no more, here I’m going to attempt to guide you on how to pack accordingly for a 2 night city break.
First things first; check the current temperature of your destination (you don’t want to be taking your daisy dukes to Iceland) Ok, I’m going to take winter for example as I’m currently packing for Amsterdam.
1. Trousers: think versatile, choose one pair of trousers that will double up for the night with a good top.
2. Layers: one of the more important tips, put on a cami, jumper and then your coat. If for some freak reason the temperatures changes dramatically then your geared for all eventualities, well kind of.
3. Bottle: don’t go trying to cart your full tube of Wella shampoo and conditioner, it’s far more logical to buy some small containers from Boots, Primark or wherever, and fill it with a reasonable amount to get you by.
So your list of necessities:
4 tops (3day 1night), 1 pair of trousers, 1 pair of leggings, 1 coat, 1 dress, 3 sets of undies, 1 set of PJ’s & and limited array of toiletries. Oh and potentially one of the more useful accessories for when you just need to sleep (courtesy of Urban Outfitters):
Voila, and there you have it, how to pack light for your city break. Enjoy!
