Wedding; Dad tied the knot.

Last month was chaotic, from wedding dress shopping to photo frame decorating we all jumped on board to help my Dad and, now Wife, prepare to tie the knot!

Having slightly neglected my blog over the last few months I felt I owed it the low down of the day.. or more importantly, the outfit!

Weddings are stressful, particularly for women looking to find that perfect dress, and no, I don’t even mean the bride! I mean the guests! .. I spent what felt like decades looking for the right dress, trying on frocks from the likes of Ted Baker, French Connection and Reiss yet failing epically. I enjoy a statement piece and so a neutral colour was not quite going to cut it. My search spanned over several weeks and covered numerous cities. London, Manchester and Newcastle had failed me.

One final quest to find the epitome of perfection begun a mere week before the wedding. Shoes-less and clueless we made one final trip to Leeds Victoria Quarter. My aim was to walk into Harvey Nichols, pester an Assistant until she found me something beautiful and leave a happy girl.. and find me something beautiful she did!

My dress looked mediocre as it hung limply amongst the mundane Beige & Cream numbers, yet on looked simply amazing. Just as I began to, one again, lose hope, a sheer burst of life was presented to me in the form of Maxmara’s Neon Green Gown from the Summer Collection. Harvey Nichols, you’ve excelled. Teamed with a Floating Golden Belt and pair of Bianca Louboutin’s this outfit was a show stopper!

I believe it’s important to feel great in our clothes, teaming elegance with a fun unique twist! .. Pictured below are a collection of photographs of my outfit and others from the day!

Happy Blogging! xx
